Ocean household goods

Puerto Rico moving and shipping

A Puerto Rico move is not a long truck ride — it is an ocean shipment with a truck move on each end. We price and track those pieces separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for and where your shipment is.

Two ZIP codes and a date is all we need to start.

Full households, partial loads and single pieces

You can ship an entire home, a few rooms, or a small number of furniture items. Partial and consolidated shipments share container space, which is usually the difference between affordable and impractical.

What we need from you

Origin ZIP, destination municipality, an inventory with approximate cubic feet, your target pickup date, residence type, access at both ends, and whether you need packing or storage. The Puerto Rico quote flow asks for exactly these.

Sailing schedules and timing

Transit depends on the sailing schedule and port processing. We do not publish a transit guarantee here — your Puerto Rico coordinator confirms the specific schedule for your shipment before you book.

Storage on either end

Shipments can be held at a secure Florida facility before sailing or at the destination facility before delivery, billed monthly at the rate quoted.

The six stages of your shipment

  1. STAGE 1

    Origin trucking

Our crew loads at your residence and delivers the shipment to the origin facility.

  2. STAGE 2

    Facility handling

Items are inventoried, wrapped and prepared for ocean transport, including crating where needed.

  3. STAGE 3

    Consolidation

Shipments are grouped into a container. Partial loads share space, which is what makes small shipments affordable.

  4. STAGE 4

    Ocean transportation

The container sails from a Florida port to Puerto Rico on a scheduled service.

  5. STAGE 5

    Destination handling

On arrival the container is processed and your shipment is moved to the destination facility.

  6. STAGE 6

    Island delivery

Delivery is scheduled to your municipality address, including any access limitations we noted at quoting.

Common questions

How is Puerto Rico shipping priced?

By cubic feet across each stage: origin trucking, handling, ocean transportation, port and documentation, and destination delivery. Each stage appears as its own line in your quote.

Can I ship just a few pieces of furniture?

Yes — consolidated shipments exist for exactly that, subject to available container space on the sailing you need.

How long does it take?

It depends on the sailing schedule and port processing for your specific shipment. Our coordinator confirms timing before booking rather than quoting a generic window.

Do you pack for Puerto Rico shipments?

Yes. Ocean transport is harder on furniture than a truck move, so packing and crating are frequently recommended and always itemized.
